How Do I Clean and Care for My CLOUD Pilates Mat?Updated an hour ago
The CLOUD Pilates Mat features a closed-cell surface, making everyday cleaning simple and helping prevent moisture from being absorbed into the mat.
Think of closed-cell versus open-cell like glass versus a sponge: a closed-cell surface keeps moisture on top, while an open-cell surface is porous and designed to absorb it. Because the CLOUD Pilates Mat is closed-cell, sweat and moisture remain on the surface, where they can be easily wiped away after practice.
For regular care, wipe the mat with warm water and a soft cloth after each session. To freshen and deodorize the mat, use Manduka's Natural Rubber Yoga Mat Restore, then wipe the surface dry before rolling or storing.
Do not soak or submerge the mat in water. When not in use, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to help preserve the integrity of the materials.
Initial Use:
When you first unroll your CLOUD Pilates Mat, you may notice a natural rubber scent. Before your first practice, allow the mat to air out in a well-ventilated space. The scent will gradually fade with fresh air and regular use, though the timing may vary depending on the environment and individual sensitivity.
