My eKO® mat has small pieces of rubber coming off - is this normal?Updated 2 years ago

The eKO® mat will slowly start to breakdown and show signs of usage over time. Common and normal wear and tear can look like small pieces of rubber coming off the mat, or a change in texture in the areas where the hands and feet are regularly placed during yoga practice.  This change in texture can make the surface look smoother compared with the rest of the mat. Both of these occurrences are normal for the eKO® mat and will happen over time.
